Quolus Construction is currently seeking:
Construction Safety Officers (CSO’s) who have safety experience at multi-residential sites, whether low-rise wood frame, or high-rise concrete.
Duties include:
- Refer patients to further medical assistance.
- Administer advanced first aid: stabilize severe injuries, including breathing, bleeding, breaks.
- Fill in first aid forms & patient assessment charts.
- Assist in creation & implementation of site safety plans.
- Orient on-site personnel in safety as directed.
- Enforce safety standards, both regulatory and site-specific.
- Oversee first aid room & equipment, ensuring organized & sterile environment.
- Ensure safety orientation for all applicable on-site personnel.
- Perform toolbox talks, and other safety meetings.
- Carry out workplace investigations.
- Perform safety inspections and drills.
- Build & implement safety barriers and equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Basic physical fitness to respond to emergencies.
- 1 year of construction OFA experience.
- Proficient in verbal & written English.
- High school diploma.
- Occupational First Aid – level 3 ticket.
- FallPro ticket.
- WSBC accredited CSO/NCSO ticket.
- Supervising for Safety course.
- Must be able to commit to full time employment.
- Must own PPE.
