Machinery – Aerial Boom Lift

This in-class certification course prepares operators to safely and effectively use boom lifts (aerial work platforms). Delivered through multimedia presentations, interactive discussions, and live demonstrations, the training is followed by both written and hands-on assessments. 

What You’ll Learn 

• Boom Lift Fundamentals & Hazards 

• Introduces boom lift basics, hazard recognition, machine stability, and classifications of manual vs. powered units. 

• Site Safety & Preventative Maintenance 

• Covers jobsite safety assessments, upkeep checks, and maintenance procedures to prevent breakdowns and safety incidents. 

• Operation Techniques & Controls 

• Includes orientation to machine controls, safe operating envelopes, steering, start-up/shutdown routines, emergency controls, and dismounting. 

• Written & Practical Evaluation 

• Reinforces learning through hands-on exercises and a written test. Upon successful completion, operators receive a certification of completion
