Process: Reporting Time Off

  1. Calling in Sick

We all get sick from time-to-time, but you must follow the below process if you do need to take a day off sick.

  1. Text/call your site super before your start time to let them know
  2. Text/call your site manager to let them know about being sick
  3. Email payroll@quolus.com or payroll@horizonworkforce.com
    1. Include your full name, and date(s) sick

Note: If you are feeling ill the night before, give your super and site manager a head’s up.

  1. Personal Appointments

As much as possible, book your personal appointments for the weekends. For those appointments that need to be booked for a workday, give as much notice as possible (1 to 2 weeks).

  1. Text/call/speak in-person to your site super
  2. Text/call your site manager to let them know, including the date
  3. Write “Off” on your timesheet if filling out

  1. Taking vacation

Taking vacation is important for us to rest and recuperate. Best practice is giving as much notice as possible (at least 2 weeks).

  1. Text/call/speak in-person to your site super
  2. Text/call your site manager with your last day worked, and first day back from vacation
  3. If you accrue vacation, and want it paid out, email payroll@quolus.com or payroll@horizonworkforce.com with:
    • full legal name
    • site
    • your last day worked, and
    • your first day back from vacation

Please note: it is not always possible to place you back at the site you left before vacation. Supers may prefer to leave your replacement to minimize disruption to the site.
